Wayne Kutzer has been the State Director and Executive Officer for the ND Department of Career and Technical Education since July 1, 2000.

Wayne has nine years of experience in business management and as a small business owner.

He started his career in education at the Southeast Area Career and Technology Center (SEACTC) in Oakes, ND in 1984. Wayne acted as the coordinator/instructor of the Small Business Management program providing management education to area businesses; and also taught Computer Maintenance, Programming and Application classes. Wayne started and coordinated the Single Parent/Displaced Homemaker program at the Center. In 1989, Wayne became the Assistant Director of the Center and in 1992 became the Director of the SEACTC.

Wayne holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a Masters Degree in Career and Technical Education from the University of North Dakota.
