Marketplace of Ideas Entrepreneur of the Year Awards

DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS:  Tuesday, September 14, 2010

Award Categories:

• Entrepreneurial Community of the Year
  This award recognizes the leadership of a community that encourages entrepreneurial activity and develops an entrepreneurial culture.
• Social Entrepreneur of the Year
  This award recognizes an individual with innovative solutions to pressing social problems.  Ambition and persistence in tackling major social challenges and offering new ideas for wide-scale change are traits of a social entrepreneur.
• Entrepreneur of the Year
  Creativity, leadership, personal drive, and the ability to inspire others are traits that make an entrepreneur.  This award recognizes a North Dakota entrepreneur who embodies these traits and a winning business concept while providing a role model for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Eligibility Criteria: All nominees must have a fixed physical presence in North Dakota.

Selection Process: A panel of judges will review, evaluate, and select the award winners.  The decision of the judges will be final.

The Awards: These awards, recognizing the highest achievers in entrepreneurial leadership in North Dakota, will be presented at the Marketplace of Ideas Showcase and Forum on September 27-28,2010, at the FargoDome, Fargo, ND.
